Customer Video Review Length:: 1:17 MinsSo far, so good. I was a little upset that there weren't any video reviews for this product, (youtube, from the company itself etc.) so I promised myself that I'd make a video demonstration for others to judge. The basic stuff you need to know: There are 12 levels of resistance (I was using resistance level 8).The computer tells you how many complete rows you have performed, time performed, calories burned or you can scan through all three (My computer didn't work when it first arrived, but after a solid punch it woke up and started working). The resistance is nice. You'll get a good workout with this inexpensive machine. Storage is convenient, but don't be fooled, 35 pounds is heavy to move around from room to room. Keep the machine close to where you plan on using it. Finally, the footstraps were a major complaint. My complaint about the footstraps is that it doesn't hold your feet securely against the footrests. The clicking noise you hear in... 5/5 Louie the Italian Jew "Lou da Joo" - See all my reviews, September 25, 2010

0 5/5 Linda (United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 Rowing Machine (Sports) .PROS:a. Real rowing (oar-like) action, rather than just pulling on a single T-bar.b. Comfortable even with tall people (I'm 6'1').c. Adjustable rowing tension.d. A very sturdy, rigid, and well-built frame.e. Easy to assemble.f. Takes little room to use.g. Very low cost (one hundred twenty dollars).CONS:a. The seat is not well padded.b. The unit creaks and squeaks a bit until it is warmed-up.c. No instructions explaining how to actually row properly. (I found some great videos and info on the Web, however, that instruct as to how to use rowing machines). You simply cannot beat this Stamina Body Trac Rowing Machine at this very low cost -- it is an amazing deal! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 20, 2006

    I've had this for 1 1/2 years - still a great machine

I've used this machine for 45 min every other day for a year and a half. It is this only exercise that I do and I have seen remarkable results. I am 30 years old and I have lost thirty pounds of fat and have turned an average body type in an athletic one. My back and shoulders have especially benefited. Those are the results you can expect from using this low impact, compact, easy to use and actually pretty fun piece of exercise equipment - all form the comfort of your living room.As for the machine itself: Pros:It is sturdy - I am 6'2" and 190lbs (started at 220lbs) and have never had a problem with stability.I like the free rowing arms (as opposed to a bar like I've seen at gyms), gives the feel of a real row boat and also allows for exercising different parts of arms and back.Quick results - and probably quicker if I made some changes to my diet.Cons:Calorie counter sucks butt. Infact the computer in its entirety... 4/5 oddBobby (Dallas) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Started Good, Now Disappointing, Maybe Dangerous

We just assembled our new Stamina 1215 Orbital Rower. It took about an hour and a half. The machine feels pretty sturdy to me. Is it worth $279? Hard to say, but with everything so overpriced these days, who knows? The acid test is usually how long something lasts, so it will be worth the money if it gives several years of good service. I've done my first half hour of rowing and it's a fairly smooth action and relatively quiet. On some sites, a few people complained that the lowest setting is too tough for beginners, and I agree. But you can set the arms even a little lower than the bottom number, and this helps. I've had two rowing machines in the past and this one is as good or better than they were. I like the ability to set the back of the bar up higher which aids in getting off and on the rower. I was concerned about the 'orbital' action of the arms, but find it's easy to adjust to, and in effect, you can just row as normal and not use the orbital ability at all. Stamina 1215 Orbital Rowing Machine

0 4/5 Sailor Don "Rower man" - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina 1215 Orbital Rowing Machine with Free Motion Arms (Sports) After using this exercise machine for about a month (9 total exercise hours), I have found it is basically a good machine for the price. After 4 hours of use, one of the hydraulic shocks developed a "dead spot" at the start of the stroke. I called the Stamina toll free number for customer support. They sent out a replacement shock which seems to be working OK.The 4 roller wheels on the seat slide are molded plastic. They aren't exactly round so they "rumble" a little bit. It would be nice if they were smooth without mold marks on the running surfaces. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 30, 2008

This review is from: Stamina 1215 Orbital Rowing Machine with Free Motion Arms (Sports) I've been using this product since Christmas of 2010 with more strokes than I can count. It works as good as it did the first time I used it. Reasonably priced, and I foresee being able to use this for the next few years easily. HIGHLY RECOMMEND******************Update on Dec 8 2012****************************Can't count how many strokes Ive made on this machine. We have put it through a ton of use, and it's as good as the first day of use. The reviews I have seen on this product say that it is not a great product either A) put it together incorrectly or B) weigh to much to use it.Both myself and my girlfriend (185 and 130) use it and we have never once had an issue with it after 2 years.Still a 5 star product. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 19, 2012

Simple, effective and reasonably robust but has a flaw

I was pleasantly surprised and excited when this rowing machine first arrived. It was well packed and the frame, supports and track were of reasonable gauge steel. I tried it out and after 5 minutes of use I was hearing a click and feeling a notch each time I took a stroke. The click was coming from the area of the piston where a metal pin secures the piston to the handle. I removed the pin and saw that it was damaged. I did not see any damage when I first installed it. There were two grooves and some marks on the pin from where it was rubbing on the frame (metal on metal). The pin is made from soft metal and if it can be grooved after 5 minutes of use I can't imagine that it's going to last very long. Also, the Amazon product description includes "Adjustable foot straps." I did not receive any foot straps. It's possible that Amazon made a mistake and the machine does not come with foot straps because I don't see any in the product picture. It is disappointing to get a new... 3/5 John E. The greatest at any price!

FedEx just delivered my Sunny Health and Fitness Rowing Machine which was shipped in an excellent outer box with absolutely no holes or rips in it! The rower is completely assembled except for the handle bars which bolted on quickly with the enclosed wrench and 2 big bolts. I installed the console which was a simple slide on affair with a simple wire plug in. I never use consoles but I installed it anyway....it came with batteries included! There were no straps to hold the feet on an NONE ARE NEEDED!The seat isn't the best in the world but solid and glides easily and smoothly. I might add a small cushion for longer sessions. The hydraulic piston adjusts easily and goes from real easy to real difficult. So far I am estatic about my rower, but time will tell if I remain so. Am 86 years old and after a few minutes on the 2nd setting, I can feel the muscles in my thighs complaining, which is proof positive that the rower is doing the job it is intended for... 5/5 Melvin H. Good trainer, lousy quality control and customer service.

I would have actually given the trainer itself 5 stars. It is well built of sturdy material, very little plastic. It operates extremely quietly and is easy to change programs and switch between rower and bike. Assembly instructions were easy to follow and took about 40 min. BUT the rail that the seat slides on came without two critical bolt holes that should have been pre-drilled that holds the endstop in place to stop the seat from flying off the end. As a handyman with the right tools it was an easy fix that I did myself. For some people it would have been a return. It is also something you dont find until the machine is completely assembled as it is the last item to install. I informed ProForm along with photos but they have not had the decency to respond, acknowledge the problem or say thanks for fixing it myself. This does not give me a lot of confidence in their customer service. The trainer is worth buying but check the end of the rail before you assemble and hope... 3/5 Wetdogrog - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Good Value, Great Workout, Solidly Built, and Very Quiet Machine !

Very solidly built piece of equipment. Bought to break up the monotony of other cardio machines. Easy to build easy to switch from rower to bike and very quiet I had never really worked out on a rower before, this really is a great workout in a relatively short time. I initially thought the 20 minute quick program was not going to be a challenging workout but I quickly rethought that about halfway through. There are 10 programs for the rower and 10 for the bike you can of course create your own as well. The 20 level magnetic resistance is very smooth and adjusts quickly, it doesn't grab or jerk like some other pieces of equipment I've used. There is nothing extravagant on the computer, it's pretty straight forward, I'm watching tv anyway, what I did like on the computer that is noteworthy was the pacing feature, it gives you a graduated indicator that shows you if you are behind or ahead of the pace on a preprogrammed workout. I wished I had bought it sooner it's a great compliment... 5/5 Steelers #1 Fan - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Not only is it a full-body exercise that combines low-impact strength training with a true cardio-vascular workout, but it's...well...fun! I would like to thank Stamina Products for sending us a sample of this air rower to help us out on our weight-loss goals. Perfect compact rower

I've had this rower for a few days now and feel I should say something about my impressions. First, the size is perfect for smaller places. I have a small place and can use this almost anywhere. Second, it's whisper quiet. I live in a town home and I'm not worried a bit about disturbing my neighbors. It's really that quiet. Third, and the best part, it has a wide range of resistance. This seems to be an issue with other rowers. You'll get whatever workout your looking for. It does fold up and will fit in most closets. It also has wheels to help move it around. These are tiny, and won't help much on carpet. It's also fairly heavy. This is part of its quality which is rock solid as far as I can see right now. I mention the weight because if you need to move this around your going to have to be physically fit enough to do this.I will say I looked all over for the best rower for my needs, and this far surpasses what I was expecting for a personal rower.
