About this book
An increasing segment of the population is being reported to have some disability. Adding to this changing demography of the modern world is an almost explosive growth of ageing populations. These functionally impaired people navigate their way in a world which has specifically designed values obtained from a 35-year old male, which has a number of social consequences. The international contributors to this volume address a range of subject areas with accompanying functional impairments and provide some proven and possible solutions. Regardless of origin of the impairment, rehabilitation endeavours to restore the function to normal or as close to normal as can be expected. On the other hand, ergonomics enhances the functional capacity of people by optimizing the fit between the person and the object process. Therefore, a blend of these two disciplines will allow the development of strategies to enhance and optimize the functional ability of subnormal groups. This text covers: ageing; visual impairment; chronic heart disease; musculoskeletal disorders; vocational rehabilitation; mobility and clothing for the disabled. In addition it covers the areas of gait, slip, trips and falls, anthropometry and assistive technology.

    No bull!

0 5/5 James - See all my reviews This review is from: BACKBULL by Cardin, Close Grip Inverted Row and Pull-up Handle (Misc.) I love my backbull! It is well constructed & heavy duty. The spacing and angle of the handles is perfect! I got a good workout from the very first use (that was 3 months ago) and have every time since. I like this handle so much that I've used it for pulldowns, pull ups and other pulley exercises. I highly recommend the backbull and wish that I had gotten mine sooner. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , January 11, 2014

More useful than it would appear. Seriously. Give this a shot.

Seriously: this thing should be in almost every gym. I was looking at it and going "yeah, right, as if, what the heck is this apparatus going to do for me that a pull down handle cannot? Well, as I found out - quite a lot. Perching my feet on a bench and using a Smith Machine to hang this from, I was like TOP LEL at about 3/5 of doing a plank row - sort of like a push up but upside down and pulling. Then it got to the last third, and it just ignited muscles I didn't know I had. Small muscles screamed a chorus of hell-e-lujah right up and down my spine as they realized they would not die unswole. I'm like for real, really? Because my lats were like "yes, this is challenging" but there were a whole host of other muscles going "oh wait, we're supposed to flex or something? Crap, where's the manual? I learned this in school once" and fought to get with the program. Experimenting with it and bodyweight, it and pulldown machines, it and other bits of equipment, It's... 5/5 IronGoth "bluedemon242" (Tacoma, WA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: BACKBULL by Cardin, Close Grip Inverted Row and Pull-up Handle (Misc.)
