Customer Video Review Length:: 1:17 MinsSo far, so good. I was a little upset that there weren't any video reviews for this product, (youtube, from the company itself etc.) so I promised myself that I'd make a video demonstration for others to judge. The basic stuff you need to know: There are 12 levels of resistance (I was using resistance level 8).The computer tells you how many complete rows you have performed, time performed, calories burned or you can scan through all three (My computer didn't work when it first arrived, but after a solid punch it woke up and started working). The resistance is nice. You'll get a good workout with this inexpensive machine. Storage is convenient, but don't be fooled, 35 pounds is heavy to move around from room to room. Keep the machine close to where you plan on using it. Finally, the footstraps were a major complaint. My complaint about the footstraps is that it doesn't hold your feet securely against the footrests. The clicking noise you hear in... 5/5 Louie the Italian Jew "Lou da Joo" - See all my reviews, September 25, 2010

A fantastic rower for this price!

0 5/5 Linda (United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina Body Trac Glider 1050 Rowing Machine (Sports) .PROS:a. Real rowing (oar-like) action, rather than just pulling on a single T-bar.b. Comfortable even with tall people (I'm 6'1').c. Adjustable rowing tension.d. A very sturdy, rigid, and well-built frame.e. Easy to assemble.f. Takes little room to use.g. Very low cost (one hundred twenty dollars).CONS:a. The seat is not well padded.b. The unit creaks and squeaks a bit until it is warmed-up.c. No instructions explaining how to actually row properly. (I found some great videos and info on the Web, however, that instruct as to how to use rowing machines). You simply cannot beat this Stamina Body Trac Rowing Machine at this very low cost -- it is an amazing deal! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 20, 2006

Intregal part of my 75 pound weight loss!!!

I own the Concept 2 Model D. I purchased it last year after an exhausting field and internet search. I "casually" used it for several months until a few months ago when I became very serious about losing weight. I now use the rower 5 to 6 times a week 30 minutes minimum- with an average of 45 minutes and occasionally (usually Saturday mornings) a 60 minute workout. I do not overdue the individual workouts, and maintain about a 23 stroke per minute rhythm.I chose this rower for several reasons. First, the great reviews on internet websites. Secondly, I was very impressed with the sales associate. He did not try to "oversell" me, instead he convinced me that for my needs the model D was more than sufficient. Third, I was fortunate enough to try one out at a friends home gym- I was impressed. Lastly- this is a high quality machine- very sturdy and well designed.I utilize this machine, along with a low carb diet and walking 3-4 miles 2 to 3 times a week, to... 5/5 D. "The Rower"

You need go no further than a major crew regatta such as the Head of the Charles to understand why Concept2 rowers are regarded as the best available. Generally there are only a few rower manufacturers represented in vendor alley, and the one with the crowd will be Concept2. Found in crew boathouses everywhere, not only are they well-built and smooth, but can even be linked together to work in unison for training purposes. It's actually quite amazing to see in action. Concept2 also has an enormously enthusiastic user base that competes across the world. That's indoor rower competition! You'll also find Concept2 rowers in gyms everywhere - they're very tough.Concept2 makes two models. They are actually fairly close in specs and the pricing difference is a few hundred dollars. This listing is for Concept2's D model with their PM3 electronics module. I view the principal difference between the D and E models as height (the E is a bit taller). This isn't just for athletes...

This is more of a personal review about my quest (26, non-athlete looking for something long term to maintain good health). Most of the reviews here rave about this thing's sturdy build, proven excellent reputation, good customer service, and other facts that clearly set this machine apart from any other... so my review is more geared for regular people wondering whether they are going to have issues with motivation. Are you afraid this is going to end up sitting in your closet?I was on the crew team in college, and while I loved rowing out on the water, I loathed these machines mostly because we were forced to train so hard on them. After my brief time on the team, I didn't touch these machines (or row) for 8 years. These machines can be something brutal and slavish, or they can be tools for gaining real physical and mental power in your life. Your relationship with the machine simply depends on how you use it!Technique and good posture are KEY. They... 5/5 Michelle (San Diego, CA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great Product; be careful with shipping!

We ordered this product to help in a revamping of our exercise program, and it is absolutely great in that mission. The device assembles very easily and quickly; 15 minutes or less if you lay the parts out. There are two major assemblies, and you just attach the seat and put the two pieces together. In action, the device is smooth and quiet, and it can give you a very good workout in a relatively short period of time. The electronics package is good; the only issue some may have is that changing rowing resistance doesn't appear to change the calorie count. The only problem we had was with Amazon in shipping. This is shipped in two boxes but for some reason Amazon seems to lose sight of that fact on its own tracking. If the two boxes become separated (which ours did) and only one is delivered, they show status as "delivered". I called customer service to try to get them to help with the other box and they continually insisted that the order was one box and was... 5/5 T. Good rower, not the best

I bought my LifeSpan rower about a year ago and have used it a lot with no major problems. It does the job and seems to be a good value for the money, but it definately is not a performance rower.PROS:CheapCompactFolds EasilySimple Digital Display lasts a very long time one one batteryCONS:No chain, the pull mechanism is a strap of fabric.Plastic wheels support the seat and pull movement. Mine have note worn out yet but they're not that smooth and they do feel as if they have worn down significantly during the year that I have used my rower. The pull movement creates no momentum as with a fan or water resisting model, so you really cant build up much inertia and each pull feels like you're starting from a stp, which is not mych like real rowing. All in all it's a good unit but if you're looking for something that will really take a beating and last a long time and also emulate the feel of rowing much better,... 3/5 James D. I was shopping for a vacuum lately and see this on sale at Fry for $39 !!(refurbished? didn't say but I know Fry is kind of sneaky)I thought it was used or floor model but store clark told me they have 4 in stock and I can pick 1 that I like. I realize that contrary to the latest vaccum cleaners which are uniformly bagless this one still uses a bag but the price is just too good and I actually prefer an "oldfashioned" vaccum that uses a bag because a lot of reviews I read about bagless vaccum were complaining about how messy things can get when emptying them. The setup was very simple -- I don't even need the manual. Out of box only 2,3 pieces need to be hooked to the main body and you are ready to go. The hoses and tubes are still in sealed bags and there was no sign of usage. if this is a refurbished machine then they did a very good job.Pros: Very strong suction (the most important), coil rewind, a nice headlight, HEPA filter, VERY EASY to roll/move... 4/5 Yixter "Yixter" (IN USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Panasonic MC-UG471 Bag Upright Vacuum Cleaner (Kitchen) I was shopping for a vacuum lately and see this on sale at Fry for $39 !!(refurbished? didn't say but I know Fry is kind of sneaky)I thought it was used or floor model but store clark told me they have 4 in stock and I can pick 1 that I like. Love Dependable Panasonic

I'm glad to be back with Panasonic. I had a Panasonic vacuum that lasted at least fifteen years. Less than two years ago, in the process of blowing insulation into the walls, from the inside of the house, my beloved vacuum died. Needing one quick, I went to Consumer Reports, and, based on their recommendations, purchased an Eureka Boss. BIG MISTAKE! Pain to use, tired of getting hit in the leg with the hose, when not in use. When you needed to use the hose, you had to stop what you were doing, move the dial -- hose -- then move the dial back to vacuum regular. Tools falling off. You get the picture. Hated to have to vacuum!Even though I take good care of my things (especially now a days, when nothing seems to last), the Boss broke in two, less than two years later. So, I came back to Panasonic and am VERY HAPPY I DID.The UG471 is GREAT!I have two non-stop shedding Siberian Huskies. Most effective & reliable vacuum I've ever used

My experience with Panasonic vacuums began approx 15 yrs ago, when I worked for a retailer who sold them. I remember being impressed that I never had a Panasonic return, however there were many vacuum returns from other brands. I bought my first Panasonic with my employee discount, and I will confess I won't buy another brand. I had others given to me [before I bought one], and have used others which were extremely inferior by comparison.PROS: (In order of importance to me):-Best suction of any vacuum I've ever used; if it decreases then it means your bag is full-The CORD REEL/rewind! Wow, if you can make it through the assembly, this is a fantastic choice of home gym. I live a long distance to my closest gym and the gas to get there was getting way too expensive. After doing tons of research, I did a leap of faith and ordered the Body Solid EXM 2500 and I am thrilled! It almost completely replaces the upper and lower body workout that I have been doing at the town gym. I can do two different tricep moves, a lat pull down, pec exercise, seated row, two types chest press, leg extension and tons more. It doesn't do cable cross overs with both arms at the same time, but hey, I do them one at a time. One thing I do miss is a leg press which comes as an option from other sources selling this machine. The bad news is that Body Solid does not make this model anymore and do not have leg presses to sell separately. There are still some of the 2500s still available and I suggest you grab one fast. Amazing!!!

I didn't get this through Amazon. I nearly did, but I found one being sold locally by a private seller who bought it from Amazon a while back and never bothered to build it. If he only knew what he missed out on...First, I have to agree with everyone else about the instructions and assembly. I was building this solo for the most part and only called my husband in every now and then when I couldn't reach the uppermost pieces and when it came time to run the cable through. It was definitely difficult to build. It took 6 hours and I ended up with a couple of extra parts. Fortunately, I got lucky and the parts I ended up with were easy enough to locate and put in at the end. This may have already been mentioned, but any small part that is labeled with any letter other than A, B, C, or D is likely already attached to a larger piece, so don't bother looking through the hardware for those. Also, it does help to sort and label the hardware before starting.The... 5/5 Jamie "mjam" (Colorado) - See all my reviews This review is from: Body-Solid StrengthTech EXM2500S Home Gym (Misc.)
