Only 3 hrs assembled and the computer DOESN'T WORK! No HEART RATE MONITOR, NO BLUE TOOTH

1/5 Meatloaf - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: NordicTrack C 7.5 (Sports) I just finished assembling the elliptical, after 1h30 min of mounting everything. After 1hr I finished assembling, decided to do a quick 10 minute workout. FIRST THE BLUE TOOTH STOPPED WORKING. I even singed up for the iFit thing because of this feature. Then now EVERY TIME MY HANDS ARE ON THE HEART RATE MONITOR, THE COMPUTER SCREEN KEEPS RESETTING.I had this machine assembled for less than 3 hours and already broke. I paid 800 dollars for a NordicTrack, a very known name, I trusted on you guys, but the computer broke. The ramp angle is working fine, but the resistance also is not working, every time the computer screen goes blank, it reset the resistance.I hope the customer service will deal with this situation. I'll update this review with future details. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , February 26, 2016

great value but be aware of delivery

I have been using my nordictrack for 3 weeks now and feel that it is well worth the money. I have friends who have purchased more expensive elliptical machines but i think this machine is well built and a value at it price. I weigh approx 250 lbs and the machine does not sway or show any signs of stress while I am trying to go full speed. Although i have not subscribed to Ifit yet, but i plan to after i have been using the machine for a few more weeks. One thing worth mentioning is that when it was delivered i was contacted by the trucking firm that was to deliver the machine and told that it weighed 600 lbs. I was also told that i would need to either supply adequate men to unload it or have it delivered to a place with a loading dock. So i had it delivered to my work where we have loading docks and scales. i then weighed it and found it to weigh just 221 lbs. I and a friend then put it into the back of my pickup with no problem. Don't be fooled, pictures show a 7.5

The pictures do not match the product. The upgraded model is on display and one of the reasons I purchased. I'll update the review after assembly as to how it performs. I read the reviews on Sears and they didn't seem too favorable*Update 10March*Delivered on time and as expected. Just as I suspected this is a different model than what is in shown in the pictures. Took about 3 hours to put together. I highly suggest having a rubber mallet, another set of Allen wrenches, and an electric drill . Or instead of the Allen wrenches just larger hex bits for your drill. I can see this reasonably being done in 30 minutes if you know what you're doing. I commend anyone who puts this together without a mallet though. A few disappointments are that there are no heart sensors on the moving handles, the iFit module is blocked by the tablet holder, the plastic covers are cheap and break easily, came with excessive packaging (everything is wrapped and then bagged then wrapped again)... 4/5 Kevin - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) good elliptical with a few notes

The good:I got this for my wife for the specific reason that the feet are close together. Our old elliptical (100-200USD range) was kind of the beginner model. The wheel was between your legs and it made riding it painful for my 5' wife. It had something to do with using a muscle not commonly used when your feet are spread so far apart. This Nordic Track e7.0z has feet that are about 3 inches apart and the pain is gone. The unit is quiet and smooth. The stride is natural feeling. It's more like walking or running than riding a bike. The incline function can change this: 1 is like walking and barely lifting your legs, 5 is more like running or riding a bike where you need to lift your legs farther. The stability is excellent, I never feel as if I could tip it over. The unit was medium in assembly difficulty, not impossible, not 3 pieces that snap together... The resistance is as low or as high as anybody could want and it is electric adjustable. The programs are fine. I usually... 4/5 Sean D. Bobbitt - See all my reviews, March 23, 2016

My Video review of Schwinn 430 Elliptical

Customer Video Review Length:: 6:39 Mins We bought the Schwinn 430 after we decided our health club membership wasn't worth it. Best. Decision. Ever. Anyway, we are quite picky when it comes to big purchases, and prefer to buy trusted names, so Schwinn was at the top of the list. Like any smart consumer, we tested it out in a sporting goods store first, and it was super-stable feeling, plus it had all the bells and whistles we wanted: manual settings, heart rate monitor, adjustable incline and resistance, fan, dual display, ipod/iPad dock with speakers, etc. The only other contender was the Life Fitness models, but they were 2x the price and didn't seem to offer much more to justify the price.Basically, once it got to our home it only took me 45min to set up...the assembly wasn't difficult, just bolt on the handlebars, run a cable through the 'spine' and hook it up to the monitor, and bolt on the footpedals. We've used it on a regular basis now for a little... 4/5 Dylan - See all my reviews This review is from: Schwinn 430 Elliptical Machine (Sports), December 14, 2014

    Awesome FUN work out!

The Schwinn 430 Elliptical Machine is a beast of a machine! At a shipping weight of 226 pounds, your workout will begin with simply getting it into the house. (Although the lovely man from the shipping company kindly delivered it up our two steps and indoors.) Set up time was about 90 minutes. The machine is 5'6" in height and is 5'9" long. At the shortest incline setting you are already 1'4" off the ground, so you will need a ceiling height of at least 8' to avoid conking your noggin! My 6'5" husband hopped onto it and realized that he was looking down at the ceiling fan! We quickly moved it to the 10' ceiling portion of our Great Room.Electronic components: There is an on-board fan that has three settings. It is barely directional, so at my husband's height, it hit him midchest, while at my 5'7" it was a direct face shot. It has an mp3 port, as well as a USB port. The speakers were more than adequate for a workout, but it wouldn't be able to be used as a... 5/5 D.Vance (Central USA) - See all my reviews, October 25, 2013

Quality, Pricing and Customer Service Make This a 5

I selected this product based on its numerous positive reviews and modest price, and have been very impressed to date. The machine is sturdy and operates very smoothly. My observations:1. For its cost, I consider it an excellent value for the $599.00 I paid for it. Some reviews complained about the weight (over 200 lbs) but my question is, do you want a piece of equipment like this made out of well constructed steel, or cheap plastic parts? The warranty could be better, but you can always get one thru a 3rd party if desired.2. The parts card (bolts, washers, etc) also come with the necessary tools for assembly. Although this is a very nice and thoughtful feature, I used my own ratchet wrench w/hex head socket which saved a lot of work and allowed me to torque down the critical bolts a lot tighter than I could have with the supplied Allen wrench. Assembly time for me (good mechanical skills, lumbar facet joint arthritis, post lumbar laminectomy, herniated cervical... 5/5 Gordie (West Allis, WI) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Love it! It's so smooth and easy to use

I'm very pleased with this elliptical. It operates very smoothly and quietly, and it offers plenty of features that make your workout as easy or challenging as you wish. I took notes from the time it arrived so it would hopefully help potential buyers of this model know what to expect. My Schwinn 470 arrived in a very large box that had to be delivered by a freight company since it was too large and heavy for UPS or Fedex. The delivery truck was a 28 foot small freight truck which was able to get in and out of my tight neighborhood. The driver brought it inside my door. I was alone that day, so I assembled it by myself. I'm a 51 year old woman, but had no worries about the task ahead of me. I started at 11:30 and finished at 2:08. This included the time necessary to unpack everything. The machine was in a lot of pieces, each wrapped in plastic and separated by thick Styrofoam for protection. The first thing I noticed was that the flywheel housing had popped loose... 5/5 Hello Kitchen - See all my reviews, December 6, 2013

    Love it!

I spent a lot of time reading reviews trying to weigh out the pros and cons and of course cost was very important. I really wanted a machine that was mobile (but not folding), quiet and electric slope. I have been going to the gym less but because of my experience on the gym ellipticals I was spoiled with a very solid machine. The box was huge, so make sure they place it where you want to set up. Putting the elliptical together was very easy and the directions were very easy to use. It took my husband and I approximately 1 hour to put together. I like the fact that we can pick up the rear and easily move where we want in the house as there are wheels in front. The face of the machine was very nice and easy to understand when picking programs, intensity, resistance...ext. The machine has the ability to set 4 different profiles (name, weight, height, gender, ext), which is nice because I am on a completely different exerciser than my husband. Disappointed in Schwinn

Purchased this at the end of December, and it was delivered by JB Hunt on January 6; no problems with the delivery, they called ahead and 2 guys carried it inside for me, no signs of damage to the box at all. The assembly is time consuming and you need to pay attention, but it is not overly difficult. The instructions are pretty clear, but attention to the diagrams is warranted. After assembly is when the fun began. I plugged the unit it...and nothing. Console never cut on. I saw some reviews that mentioned the cable connections can be finicky, so I took it back apart and made sure all of the connections were firmly attached and couldn't pull out. Re-assembled the unit, and still nothing.I called the customer support number (all the menus say bowflex), and after waiting on hold for quite a while was able to talk with someone. Went through some basic steps with the lady on the phone (she wasn't very familiar with this particular model), who then contacted someone else... 1/5 Patrick (Richmond, VA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great while it lasted.

I bought this for my NordicTrack CX990 to replace a wheel that had gotten damaged. The installation was reasonably easy. I found that it provided smooth nearly frictionless action during my workouts (approximately 3x per week between 20-60 minutes). I owned this for a little less than 4 months and then the plastic holding the wheel bearing just fell apart (see my user image). Overall I thought it was a nice wheel, but it just didn't last as long as it should have. I am hoping this is just a defective part and that this product line doesn't suffer poor craftsmanship. Since I got some use out of the product, I didn't want to give it just one star. I contacted the seller and I hope they can resolve this relatively quickly. I will update this pending their response.Edit 8/17/12I was quite impressed with the seller's response (TreadmillPartsZone). This machine replaced my old Nordic Track AudioStrider elliptical machine (note: Nordic Track/Proform are the same company) .-- my old machine had an arm snap off (at the weld) -- I pondered between replacing the part or replacing the machine... I decided to get a new machine. My old machine had the rear wheel, vs the front wheel. Otherwise they are very similar.Note: This model has a Nordic Track twin - E7.0 -- the differences are price (proform is less $), and the layout of the controls are slightly different. Why I chose this machine?--Price - on sale, plus discount & free ship.. made this a great deal. I bought from Proform, their price with additional discounts, and free shipping was less than a local store (the local store also did not have in stock, but Proform did and shipped quickly -- ordered Jan 5th - shipped the 7th - received the 15th).--Power adapter vs Power plug - most machines now have a power plug vs adapter (I preferred... 5/5 Tina Amberg (Colorado Springs, CO United States) - See all my reviews, January 17, 2015

A Budget-Friendly Mid-level Elliptical (if purchased on sale)

Ease of Assembly (5/5)The elliptical comes with a relatively easy-to-understand manual with assembly instructions and diagrams. I did not feel stuck at any point during the assembly process. Loose parts (nuts, bolts, etc.) were well-packaged and came in one large pack. I'm 5'6" and 135 pounds, and it took about a good 3.5 hours to assemble this machine by myself. The manual says it's a 2-person job, but you can likely do it by yourself if you're taller than 5' and willing to struggle a bit. I recommend attaching the included wheels and moving the elliptical base to its final location before you continue assembling because the final product is 200lbs. There's a plethora of cardboard and packaging materials, so give yourself plenty of room to work.Features (3/5)I chose this elliptical mainly because of the $400-$500 price point. I knew the features were bare-bones going in. What you get is an elliptical with the following:-20-inch stride with a 15-lb... 4/5 J. Wang - See all my reviews, January 12, 2015

Great product on a limited budget.

Purchased this elliptical on sale for $549.00, cash and carry, as my wife's Christmas present. From opening of box to fully assembled was about 3 hours for the two of us (saved the $69.00 assembly fee). You will have a hard time assembling with one person. Also, be sure to follow directions carefully, but they are not too complicated. All parts were included, well packed, and in excellent condition. Although we have not had the unit for long, it works great so far with no complaints. Very smooth and quite and gives you one heck of a workout. When in the low position, it is like running without the impact. In the incline position, it is like running stairs. Has a book stand, tablet holder, USB charging station, and MP3 hookup for built-in speakers. Also, auto programs and ability to connect wirelessly to Ifit.com. Great machine to go along with our 10-year old ProForm recumbent bike and 12-year old ProForm treadmill. I suggest trying one at a local sporting goods store... 5/5 biggweeb (Flint, Michigan) - See all my reviews This review is from: Proform Endurance 520 E Elliptical Machine (Sports) Purchased this elliptical on sale for $549.00, cash and carry, as my wife's Christmas present.
