"I N enlarging, in a late article, on the fpecies of eloquence adapted for the pulpit, we remarked that the ftyle frequently crept on with fo much uniformity as not to excite the attention, and with fo little fervour, that the preacher was not always animated by his own ideas. This is not a fpecies of eloquence of the milder kind, though not very differentia effect. The ftyle is polifiied; but its beauty is without energy, and confifts in fplendid prettinefs, without a manly dignity of thought or of expreffion. It plays about the heart without affecting the judgment. The firft Sermon is on the Lamentation of Jefus over Jerufalem. The defign of the difcourfe is to apply our Saviour's pathetic complaint to this kingdom; to convert it into a remonftrance againft the vices of a nation which has received mercies fcarcely lefs fignal than thofe with which Jerufalern was diftinguimed. The conclufion is in our author's beft manner, and we mall confequently infert it. ' And thou, O Son of God, deign the efficacious concurrence of thy grace with our fincere though feeble efforts to refemble thee in every circumftance of conduit. How amiable an example of tender fympathy halt thou given us in thy concern for that obttinate and devoted city, Jerufalem! How admirably didft thou enforce thy precepts by thy own practice ! Wonderful product, easy to stay motivated!

I bought this mini-elliptical after reading all the reviews on this and other similar products. I bought this item for three main reasons:1 - Low price2 - Small size3 - PortabilityI like the elliptical movement because I have bad ankles, and treadmills and steppers hurt me after a short time working out. I don't have room for a full-size elliptical machine in my house, and this turned out to be the perfect size. Plus, it's small size made it easy to move around the house to be where I wanted to use it. I like to work out while watching TV to keep my mind elsewhere and work out longer, and I can pull this machine (about 25lbs) in front of the TV in the living room to watch TV with family (yes, they laugh at me, but it's worth it), and then pull in front of my bed in the bedroom to watch a chick flick that no one else wants to watch. I even put my elliptical in front of my computer to watch Netflix movies online! It's easy to carry around.Another great... 5/5 N. 15-Day Review

Normally, I take reviews with a grain of salt. I work in advertising, so I'm well aware that companies often hire freelancers to write positive reviews for their products in order to improve sales. That said, I figured I would write an honest review after using this elliptical trainer for about half-a-month.I received the trainer on about the 20th of September and have been using it at least every other day since. It was extremely easy to piece together (I have put together a Bowflex Treadclimber in the past, as well as a StairMaster so this was practically nothing at five parts) and even easier to use. However, the stride IS significantly shorter than that of a standard health club elliptical--after about ten minutes of using the trainer, though, I didn't even notice the short stride.I bought the trainer as an alternative to running or biking outside since the cold weather is settling in and I wanted no excuses when it came to maintaining some sort of exercise... 4/5 jneeni (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Yes, you can use this while sitting at your desk

I read through every description and review I could find before I bought this because I wanted to know if I could use it at my desk while sitting and working. Nothing really answered that, so I got in anyway. And now, it is clear that this thing is the missing link in my fitness program. I'm basically sedentary for 8 hours a day at work. Not anymore. I did 14 miles on it yesterday and am up to 12 miles today, and it is only 11am.Here's the deal: Sit down at your desk with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. If your feet aren't flat on the ground, lower your chair until they are. Now measure the distance between your knee and the desk (measure to the bottom of the workspace area, to see how much distance you have before your knees knock up against the desk when you lift them). If you measured 7 inches or more, you are fine and can get this thing with no problem. If you measured less than seven inches, take off your shoes and try again. When I took off my... 5/5 Fiction Lover (North Carolina) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina In-Motion Elliptical Trainer (Sports) I read through every description and review I could find before I bought this because I wanted to know if I could use it at my desk while sitting and working. Renewed Motivation!!

I purchased this mainly because I sit at a desk all day, am in my late 50s, and although not overweight, could use toning, tightening, and cardio protection. This machine "feels" like it will do all of the above, and best of all it was inexpensive. I can cancel my $10/month gym membership which I can never get to, and workout in my PJs anytime I want to. Because of its portability which makes it accessible, I find it easy to stay motivated, something I have a very hard time with. I'm not ashamed to say, that I hate going to the gym as it is too much trouble to get to after a hard day at work. I keep this in my living room in front of the sofa and use it every night during the television commercials. When company comes, I scoop it up by the handle and hide it. It is low impact, so it has not hurt my sensitive joints, something I was a little worried about. The machine is made very well, very sturdy. .I love that you can turn it around and pedal from a sitting position... 5/5 Kath "Kathy" (NY) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Very Happy with this Treadmill

I bought this treadmill because I don't have room for a massive, professional size treadmill nor did I want to spend hundreds of dollars. Because of the price I was expecting a very pared down version - just the basics - and that's what you get. It's not difficult to put together and it feels very sturdy. It folds up like a dream (very compactly) and is light enough to move around if you need to. The manual treadmill action takes a little getting used to and you just have to assume that it will take a few tries to get the belt to settle correctly without drifting, but once adjusted properly it seems to stay put. You can really only walk on this treadmill - it's not really designed for running as you have to hold on to keep it going. But this is good. The manual action requires a little more effort (not tons but a little) through the legs and hips and since you have to hold on to keep your body from moving backward (the treadmill is at a slant for the manual action) your arms... 4/5 JoeD (Los Angeles, CA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Good for running. Need adjustment for long distance.

I generally don't like treadmills because they don't work your hamstrings like normal running would (people usually let the belt carry their foot backwards, which is cheating yourself), but sometimes you need one because of the weather outside and a manual treadmill in my opinion is your best bet. Because it's all moved by your muscles, your hamstrings at least get some use.I bought this treadmill because of the weight tolerance and the belt size which allows me to run and walk.Yeah, there's some belt wobble, but you get that with any manual. Just gotta fine-adjust it to your rhythm.I'm not a sprinter--I prefer to "go the distance" and ride this thing for an hour at a time! I don't like the incline--even adjusted down it forces you to run fast (which, like I said, cheats your hamstrings because they don't get a good workout). Because of the size of the base of the handlebar assembly, there tends to be wobble. The wobble gets worse if you're... 3/5 John A. I rarely buy indoor exercise equipment (would rather be outdoors) but I'm VERY satisfied with this. A coworker has one and uses it every day. I use mine daily at home, while studying or watching TV. My 10-year-old daughter has loved this strider from the start. She gets home, opens her homework, and starts pedaling. Great for the price and very well made

Since finding no reviews on record here, I was very skeptical when searching for a value priced elliptical with the features I required. With limited floor space in our living room, I wasn't even considering the more popular mammoth sized machines with electronic screens and fancy programs since their price tags were sky high. This compact little cutie is perfect for my needs. When a doctor recommended I use an elliptical as a low impact exercise with my bad knees, I knew I'd need to find the right machine before beginning my workout regimen. This machine comes in a few pieces but assembly was very self-explanatory with full graphics and easy to follow instructions. All needed tools were included. From start to finish it took me under 50 minutes and I'm normally all thumbs with assembling. This really was a snap! The unit takes up a small footprint on my wooden floor and can be moved around depending on where I wish to use it. Considering price, this is a great little treadmill.

The reviews seemed to be confusing regarding the Stamina InMotion Manual Treadmill but I bought it anyway since I figured I could work out the problems mentioned. It arrived the next day and was extremely well packaged in a very strong cardboard box. If that box had been deeper and longer, I'd keep it to use for my casket and save my family and the US Government a few bucks.Anyway, since I'm blind, I didn't read the instructions and my 9 year old son wasn't patient enough to read them either. Surprisingly, We figured everything out and had it fully assembled and running within about ten minutes. I had no problems with anything at all. Using some graphite powder that I keep handy, I liberally lubed the plate that the belt rides on - I did not put any on the rollers to avoid slippage. After a few steps, the belt went from jerky to reasonably smooth, certainly smooth enough an operation to use properly. The belt will surely relax and stretch a bit with use so I believe... 5/5 Blind Dad (Janesville WI) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 0 1/5 SMGMTX - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Stamina InMotion Manual Treadmill (Pewter Grey, Black) (Sports) I was attracted to this item because I was looking for something small that can fit in my 1 bedroom apartment and inexpensive. After putting the treadmill together and giving it a go, some problems surfaced almost immediately:1. The incline is so steep that you're forced to hold on to the handle bars making anything faster than a walk very awkward.2. Constantly needs adjustments! The second one was a big issue. The belt constantly moved to either side of the treadmill, forcing me to re-align it every 3-5 minutes.Too much of a hassle than it's worth so I returned it. Do not recommend. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 17, 2011

    Good price for the $$$

0 4/5 Richard Spafford - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina InMotion Compact Elliptical Trainer with Upper Body Cords (Misc.) This machine is a good value for the money. It basically is great for warming up your legs before more strenuous exercise or just putting in a nice 10-15 minutes of cardio, and it has the benefit of allowing you to operate it in reverse, which is very good for your heart, by the way. The tension is easy to adjust, but the position of the counter is not optimal. I weigh 190 and have used this machine probably a dozen times without an issue, and my wife has used it at least that many times. Be aware that when you're done exercising, be careful when you pick it up because the housing for the pedals gets hot during use. I would buy this again. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 14, 2012

I see that this item is the GB Deal of the Day. While I did not purchase this through amazon my girlfriend did by this exact item else where. Even though this is portable, its still a little heavy, although about what I expected. You obviously need some weight to the machine. After 15 minutes of use the right footplate snapped off and my girlfriend almost broke her ankle. Within a day we exchanged it, read the instruction even more carefully, and had the same thing happen. Needless to say the next time we just got our money back. Be warned. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 14, 2012

No longer live close to a gym and the summer weather is over 100 degrees so this compact and inexpensive elliptical machine has been a great substitute! The only negative is it doesn't have the full range of motion that the gym ellipticals have but I already knew that was going to be the case so I am still rating this 5 stars.Didn't watch the DVD that is came with so can't do a review on that.It was really easy to put together, didn't need any extra tools and assembly took about 10 minutes by myself. It doesn't make a ton of noise when in use and seems to be pretty sturdy.I usually don't use the bands that it comes with because I have weights in my hands instead.Changing the resistance is really simple, just turn the knob. After an hour on it I feel a good burn in my thighs and calves. For the cost of a 2 month gym membership I am very happy with this purchase! 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 19, 2012

Amazon isn't kidding when they say you save $89. This rower does indeed sell for more online. This is exactly what I wanted. A simple rower to get me moving. If you have "bad knees" you will want to determine how to support yourself when getting on and off the machine since it is, like all rowers, very close to the ground. This is a problem for me, I knew it would be, but I knew from experience (many years ago) that I would get a full body workout with a rower. Hopefully getting on and off will become easier with time. The rower does involve assembly. I am by no means mechanically inclined (ten thumbs) but I decided to make an attempt. I found the directions to be very good and I managed to put the rower together without any problems. I am normally so inept that my 'building' this rower makes me darn proud of myself. Translated-any one should be able to assemble this rower. I hope it stands up to wear but at this price, if it lasts a year of, hopefully, regular... I love it!!

0 5/5 irishtoast - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Stamina InMotion Rower, Silver (Sports) I just got this today. All of my parts were there and the assembly was very easy. Just follow directions. It took me about 45 min to put together after unpacking. I am very glad I did not spend any more money on a rower than this. I am an ex long distance runner and I use an elliptical daily. I have bikes and weights but just needed to shake up my workout. I am a lightweight woman, not much upper body strength. There is a lot of resistance to this for someone my size and it is adjustable as you build up. This is would not be a rower for a high performance rower, but for someone like myself in my home gym it is perfect!! I doubt this would work for a very heavy person. It only weighs about 29 lbs. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 14, 2014

This was originally a 5 star review but poor customer service made me change it.

I'm leaving the original (5 star) review at the bottom. The rower has a glitch. The seat does not always track true, and when it doesn't, it will stop in mid-stroke so that the pressure of the legs drives you off the seat. I contacted Customer Support about it and we had a couple of back and forth emails (they asked for the serial number and date of purchase). After that, all communication from customer service stopped (except for the automated Thank You for contacting us). I have tried to get some resolution of the problem but it's like there's nobody there. Based on this I'm recommending a NO BUY on this rower.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This review is for ease of assembly, quality of parts, packaging and instructions. The unit arrived in good condition. The package was easy to open and all the pieces inside were correct and exactly as indicated in the parts and tools inventory. I undertook the assembly... 1/5 Charlie Delta "beendoingitforyears" (San Jose, California, USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This stepper is a great little machine. It was very easy to assemble - I didn't even look at the directions. The battery for the monitor was included, so I was good to go right out of the box. Included are the stepper, the monitor, 2 "light" resistance bands, 2 "medium" resistance bands (light and medium are pretty subjective terms), attachable handles, and attachable... um... foot thingies. Additionally, I was elated to find it comes with a workout DVD. I must have missed that on the product description. So, some bad news: it squeaks. I have gone over the length and breadth of it with a can of 3-in-1 oil, and it still squawks intermittently. It's diminished over a few workouts, so I hope it will stop eventually. In the meantime, I keep lube-ing it up before a workout. The resistance bands, while adjustable, are still a bit too long for my 5'3". I also think they are a little weak, but that might be because I can't get enough resistance based on the length. Regarding the monitor: I... 4/5 Autumn N. Great Product

0 5/5 Amazon Customer (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina InStride Pro Electronic Stepper (Sports) I have had this stepper for a few weeks now and I have been happy with the quality. It is very sturdy and well built. It does tend to squeak when I begin using it but will quiet down once it is warmed up. I find the workouts challenging but fun because I use it in front of the television. I recommend this for anyone wanting a good workout without any fuss. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , March 9, 2009

    Piece of Junk!!!

0 1/5 Megan (Washington, D.C.) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Stamina InStride Pro Electronic Stepper (Sports) So far, in the month and a half I have owned this stepper the metal chain has snapped twice. The previous stepper I owned lasted two years. If you have any intention of using a stepper on a regular basis, do not buy this one.-StephenMy husband reviewed this stepper a few weeks ago after we'd had problems with the chain breaking multiple times. After getting a third replacement chain, we were able to use the stepper two whole times before a piece of the welded metal under the pedal that holds the chain snapped off completely, rendering the machine totally useless. As this piece isn't a replaceable "part," the company won't do anything for us. This product was a complete waste of money, not to mention time spent trying to get it to hold together long enough to use it!-Megan 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , August 12, 2009

Great for a short, quick, cheap exercise

0 4/5 Rain "Music & Culture Lover" (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina Stamina InStride Cycle XL (Sports) I bought this thing because I wanted something easy to put together, cheap, and where I can use it while watching TV. This has been perfect for that! It's been 2 months, and I've had many days where I'll take this little thing out, turn on the TV, and just go. When I'm done 30 minutes later, I'll put it away in my closet easily. I've even added some 5 lbs. dumbbells for assistance.I will totally acknowledge that......if you're looking for a vigorous workout, this won't do it....if you're looking for all-inclusive sports equipment, this isn't it....if you're looking for something that'll count your calories or time for you, this won't do it. (It comes with a timer, but it's nothing special.)...if you're looking for something to replace your daily workout, this isn't it.However, if you're looking for a cheap option that will complement your regular exercise routine while sitting, this is a great option. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 30, 2007

    My lazy-man's office workout

One day I decided to stop sitting slovenly at my desk getting fatter by the day and actually do something about my health. After two months of pretending I might go to the gym, then not, I ordered this little cycle.First off, let me say that I use it on a very low-pile carpeted floor and, as sent from the factory, it perpetually slipped. I fixed this with some superglue to the footcaps and haven't had that issue since.Second, like others, I found that after 5 or 10 minutes of use it would overheat and squeel loudly. A trip to my local hobby store netted a bottle of liquid graphite (the same stuff used to lube the wheels on pinebox cars), and again the issue was resolved. So, after conquering the (I can only assume deliberate?) design challenges by the manufacturer, I've been using this little guy for several months with great results. Of course it's a terrible substitute for a real workout, and yes I will probably go to hell for implying... 4/5 Rich (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews, December 10, 2008
