Wonderful product, easy to stay motivated!

I bought this mini-elliptical after reading all the reviews on this and other similar products. I bought this item for three main reasons:1 - Low price2 - Small size3 - PortabilityI like the elliptical movement because I have bad ankles, and treadmills and steppers hurt me after a short time working out. I don't have room for a full-size elliptical machine in my house, and this turned out to be the perfect size. Plus, it's small size made it easy to move around the house to be where I wanted to use it. I like to work out while watching TV to keep my mind elsewhere and work out longer, and I can pull this machine (about 25lbs) in front of the TV in the living room to watch TV with family (yes, they laugh at me, but it's worth it), and then pull in front of my bed in the bedroom to watch a chick flick that no one else wants to watch. I even put my elliptical in front of my computer to watch Netflix movies online! It's easy to carry around.Another great... 5/5 N. 15-Day Review

Normally, I take reviews with a grain of salt. I work in advertising, so I'm well aware that companies often hire freelancers to write positive reviews for their products in order to improve sales. That said, I figured I would write an honest review after using this elliptical trainer for about half-a-month.I received the trainer on about the 20th of September and have been using it at least every other day since. It was extremely easy to piece together (I have put together a Bowflex Treadclimber in the past, as well as a StairMaster so this was practically nothing at five parts) and even easier to use. However, the stride IS significantly shorter than that of a standard health club elliptical--after about ten minutes of using the trainer, though, I didn't even notice the short stride.I bought the trainer as an alternative to running or biking outside since the cold weather is settling in and I wanted no excuses when it came to maintaining some sort of exercise... 4/5 Amazon Customer (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Yes, you can use this while sitting at your desk

I read through every description and review I could find before I bought this because I wanted to know if I could use it at my desk while sitting and working. Nothing really answered that, so I got in anyway. And now, it is clear that this thing is the missing link in my fitness program. I'm basically sedentary for 8 hours a day at work. Not anymore. I did 14 miles on it yesterday and am up to 12 miles today, and it is only 11am.Here's the deal: Sit down at your desk with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. If your feet aren't flat on the ground, lower your chair until they are. Now measure the distance between your knee and the desk (measure to the bottom of the workspace area, to see how much distance you have before your knees knock up against the desk when you lift them). If you measured 7 inches or more, you are fine and can get this thing with no problem. If you measured less than seven inches, take off your shoes and try again. When I took off my... 5/5 Fiction Lover (North Carolina) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina In-Motion Elliptical Trainer (Sports) I read through every description and review I could find before I bought this because I wanted to know if I could use it at my desk while sitting and working. Not built for actual prolonged use.

I read lots of reviews before buying this product. I missed a key detail: people reviewed this too early.I too was really excited about this product at first. It was a real hit in my office. People stopped by and tried it out. Everyone thought it was so novel and quiet! I was easily hitting 20,000 steps a day without much effort. After ~3 weeks, the gears started to squeak. I thought it was because dirt got into it so I cleaned it with an air canister. Didn't work. I eventually bought bike lubricant but nothing helped. It was really annoying to my office mate. It became such a disturbance I eventually had to stop using it in the office. That's a complete failure of the use case I had for this product.Overall, my experience is that this is not intended for prolonged daily use. It is clear it wears out very quickly. Disappointing given the price point and the reviews from other customers. When it does work, I also caution that when you're using it, seat position... 2/5 Kristin Feeney - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great healthy alternative for couch potatoes and gamers

Useful product to improve circulation and basic fitness level during hours of mindless TV and video gaming. Yes the stride is shorter than most people's who are above 5' tall, however one quickly becomes accustomed to it. Imagine it as less of a full elliptical motion, and more of simple jogging in place without the impact and foot strain. It will give you a moderate workout, I'm in fairly decent shape and after about thirty minutes straight I'm covered in sweat and HR at a solid 120-130 BPM, but it is by no means a high intensity workout. Easy assembly, easily transported using the carry handle, though it must be 30-40 lbs. (Necessary for stability and smooth motion) Also extremely quiet, nearly silent motion. Some will say that the stepping is choppy, but that is because you don't have a huge elliptical flywheel driving your momentum forward. It helps to experiment with adjusting the tension knob, as that can provide enough resistance and feedback to make the motion... 4/5 Amazon Customer - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) I love it.

5/5 S. Goebel (Michigan United States) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Stamina InMotion Compact Strider (Sports) I had been wanting a treadmill desk, because of the bulk and the weight of it, I took a good look at this and with the added benefit of less trauma to my joints I went ahead and purchased this to go with my stand up desk. This is only my second day using this setup. First day did 6 hrs slow stride while working on spreadsheets and doing reports from my home office. I do get a little tired and have to focus more on what I am doing and from starting day 2 I already find it easier to do while working. The slight up and down motion doesn't really get in the way, that was the only thing I was worried about and the standing desk gives me added stability while using my keyboard and mouse. First day stats from my strider and my pedometer watch 13317 steps, 24.81 miles, 2559 calories burned. So is encouraging :-) Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 12, 2015

    like all rowers

Amazon isn't kidding when they say you save $89. This rower does indeed sell for more online. This is exactly what I wanted. A simple rower to get me moving. If you have "bad knees" you will want to determine how to support yourself when getting on and off the machine since it is, like all rowers, very close to the ground. This is a problem for me, I knew it would be, but I knew from experience (many years ago) that I would get a full body workout with a rower. Hopefully getting on and off will become easier with time. The rower does involve assembly. I am by no means mechanically inclined (ten thumbs) but I decided to make an attempt. I found the directions to be very good and I managed to put the rower together without any problems. I am normally so inept that my 'building' this rower makes me darn proud of myself. Translated-any one should be able to assemble this rower. I hope it stands up to wear but at this price, if it lasts a year of, hopefully, regular... 5/5 Madge (California) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) very pleased

4/5 sunsplash - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Stamina InMotion Rower (Sports) This is so much better than I expected for the price! I must be weaker than I thought because the lowest setting is a serious workout for me, lol. It took about 30-45 minutes to assemble by myself. I thought there were two missing screws and two missing washers but they were preassembled into the pedal bar. Also, some of the parts were not labelled in the list and I had to go by the pictures in the instruction manual which was a little frustrating...for example, telling me to put part xyz into abc, but xyz isn't listed on the parts list. Obviously you can figure it out, especially since I'm not the most assembly inclined, but I expect each part to be explicitly shown if later referenced. The seat is a little wobbly on the track but not enough to throw you off balance. I'm about 5'4 and 120lbs and my husband is 6'1 and 250lbs and we can both use this comfortably, so it has a decent range. 5/5 irishtoast - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Stamina InMotion Rower (Sports) I just got this today. All of my parts were there and the assembly was very easy. Just follow directions. It took me about 45 min to put together after unpacking. I am very glad I did not spend any more money on a rower than this. I am an ex long distance runner and I use an elliptical daily. I have bikes and weights but just needed to shake up my workout. I am a lightweight woman, not much upper body strength. There is a lot of resistance to this for someone my size and it is adjustable as you build up. This is would not be a rower for a high performance rower, but for someone like myself in my home gym it is perfect!! I doubt this would work for a very heavy person. It only weighs about 29 lbs. Great Portable Workout, but limit to 10-15 mins???

I just received the twist stepper today, and I thought Id write a quick review on my first impression.Pros:-Looks Fairly well made and Sturdy-The arm straps are adjustable, and they give excellent resistance-The stepping resistance is adjustable and gives a really good workout-The computer turns on and off automaticallyCons:-The step feels like baby steps. Not horrible, but worth noting-The instructions say to limit workouts to 10-15 mins??? WTH?Im assuming thats to prevent a heat build up from friction, but 15 mins?It seems like a good buy and will do exactly what I want it to do. I want to workout every day with enough resistance to maintain my body weight. Its portable enough that I can use it in any room, so chances are I will end up using it very regularly. 5/5 A. Portsmouth (North Dakota, USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sunny Health & Fitness Twister Stepper (Health and Beauty) Very short version to a really long, awful story: I was dumped and I tried to eat my way out of it.In the end, all I ended up with was still dumped and now sitting on a size 18 rear end. Not good.So I ordered this little stepper.Listen to me here...this is the important part. IT WORKS!I actually have two now. One at home and one at work. I make it a necessity to use it for a minimum of 10 minutes every hour -- no matter what. You don't have to get on it and use it for 45 minutes straight -- although, that's an awesome workout, too. Just get on it and use it consistently.I started this 30 days ago. And now I'm sitting on a size 12 rear end with size 8 straight ahead, directly in my sights! Every step counts. Every step is YOU moving toward your goal -- whatever that may be.Buy it. Oh, and you should buy a can of WD-40, too. If you use it as much as you should, the shocks will need some lubricating. Great for a short, quick, cheap exercise

4/5 Rain (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina 15-0120 InStride Cycle XL (Sports) I bought this thing because I wanted something easy to put together, cheap, and where I can use it while watching TV. This has been perfect for that! It's been 2 months, and I've had many days where I'll take this little thing out, turn on the TV, and just go. When I'm done 30 minutes later, I'll put it away in my closet easily. I've even added some 5 lbs. dumbbells for assistance.I will totally acknowledge that......if you're looking for a vigorous workout, this won't do it....if you're looking for all-inclusive sports equipment, this isn't it....if you're looking for something that'll count your calories or time for you, this won't do it. (It comes with a timer, but it's nothing special.)...if you're looking for something to replace your daily workout, this isn't it.However, if you're looking for a cheap option that will complement your regular exercise routine while sitting, this is a great option. My lazy-man's office workout

One day I decided to stop sitting slovenly at my desk getting fatter by the day and actually do something about my health. After two months of pretending I might go to the gym, then not, I ordered this little cycle.First off, let me say that I use it on a very low-pile carpeted floor and, as sent from the factory, it perpetually slipped. I fixed this with some superglue to the footcaps and haven't had that issue since.Second, like others, I found that after 5 or 10 minutes of use it would overheat and squeel loudly. A trip to my local hobby store netted a bottle of liquid graphite (the same stuff used to lube the wheels on pinebox cars), and again the issue was resolved. So, after conquering the (I can only assume deliberate?) design challenges by the manufacturer, I've been using this little guy for several months with great results. Of course it's a terrible substitute for a real workout, and yes I will probably go to hell for implying... 4/5 Rich (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews, December 10, 2008
