"I N enlarging, in a late article, on the fpecies of eloquence adapted for the pulpit, we remarked that the ftyle frequently crept on with fo much uniformity as not to excite the attention, and with fo little fervour, that the preacher was not always animated by his own ideas. This is not a fpecies of eloquence of the milder kind, though not very differentia effect. The ftyle is polifiied; but its beauty is without energy, and confifts in fplendid prettinefs, without a manly dignity of thought or of expreffion. It plays about the heart without affecting the judgment. The firft Sermon is on the Lamentation of Jefus over Jerufalem. The defign of the difcourfe is to apply our Saviour's pathetic complaint to this kingdom; to convert it into a remonftrance againft the vices of a nation which has received mercies fcarcely lefs fignal than thofe with which Jerufalern was diftinguimed. The conclufion is in our author's beft manner, and we mall confequently infert it. ' And thou, O Son of God, deign the efficacious concurrence of thy grace with our fincere though feeble efforts to refemble thee in every circumftance of conduit. How amiable an example of tender fympathy halt thou given us in thy concern for that obttinate and devoted city, Jerufalem! How admirably didft thou enforce thy precepts by thy own practice ! Wonderful product, easy to stay motivated!

I bought this mini-elliptical after reading all the reviews on this and other similar products. I bought this item for three main reasons:1 - Low price2 - Small size3 - PortabilityI like the elliptical movement because I have bad ankles, and treadmills and steppers hurt me after a short time working out. I don't have room for a full-size elliptical machine in my house, and this turned out to be the perfect size. Plus, it's small size made it easy to move around the house to be where I wanted to use it. I like to work out while watching TV to keep my mind elsewhere and work out longer, and I can pull this machine (about 25lbs) in front of the TV in the living room to watch TV with family (yes, they laugh at me, but it's worth it), and then pull in front of my bed in the bedroom to watch a chick flick that no one else wants to watch. I even put my elliptical in front of my computer to watch Netflix movies online! It's easy to carry around.Another great... 5/5 N. good but not perfect

This is a fairly compact, noiseless and easy-to-assemble machine and it does its job.The counter is placed out of the way, between your ankles, so you don't have to stare at it while exercising (unless you exercise while staring at your ankles) which to me is a plus. Also, the counter only accounts for the actual time you spend exercising, so if you go get a drink of water and return, it self-pauses, which is cool. The machine does occasionally rock slightly from side-to-side during use which I'd imagine could cause injury. Also, the machine doesn't glide easily during strides as it does on a regular elliptical; it occasionally jolts. This can be jarring, especially if you're not used to the unusually short strides on this machine. I recommend using this while you have something to stabilize yourself if this happens (I use it in a doorway)Not the best machine out there, but it's certainly affordable and easy to use, a great purchase for a small... 3/5 sgme - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) 15-Day Review

Normally, I take reviews with a grain of salt. I work in advertising, so I'm well aware that companies often hire freelancers to write positive reviews for their products in order to improve sales. That said, I figured I would write an honest review after using this elliptical trainer for about half-a-month.I received the trainer on about the 20th of September and have been using it at least every other day since. It was extremely easy to piece together (I have put together a Bowflex Treadclimber in the past, as well as a StairMaster so this was practically nothing at five parts) and even easier to use. However, the stride IS significantly shorter than that of a standard health club elliptical--after about ten minutes of using the trainer, though, I didn't even notice the short stride.I bought the trainer as an alternative to running or biking outside since the cold weather is settling in and I wanted no excuses when it came to maintaining some sort of exercise... 4/5 jneeni (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Great for a short, quick, cheap exercise

0 4/5 Rain "Music & Culture Lover" (Virginia, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina 15-0120 InStride Cycle XL (Sports) I bought this thing because I wanted something easy to put together, cheap, and where I can use it while watching TV. This has been perfect for that! It's been 2 months, and I've had many days where I'll take this little thing out, turn on the TV, and just go. When I'm done 30 minutes later, I'll put it away in my closet easily. I've even added some 5 lbs. dumbbells for assistance.I will totally acknowledge that......if you're looking for a vigorous workout, this won't do it....if you're looking for all-inclusive sports equipment, this isn't it....if you're looking for something that'll count your calories or time for you, this won't do it. (It comes with a timer, but it's nothing special.)...if you're looking for something to replace your daily workout, this isn't it.However, if you're looking for a cheap option that will complement your regular exercise routine while sitting, this is a great option. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , December 30, 2007

0 2/5 A.P. - See all my reviews This review is from: Stamina 15-0120 InStride Cycle XL (Sports) You can use this thing for about 30 minutes before it gets too hot and starts to squeak horribly. You can tell it's from overheating because the pedal arms get too hot to touch! We have two of them bought from amazon and we took them apart to see if we could lubricate the mechanism (not easy to do) but with wd40 and lithium grease it still squeaks like you're strangling a goose. The manufacturer has a laughable return policy requiring original packaging, packing slips, paid shipping and mandatory insurance which makes it not worth it to try to return and therefore not worth buying if you are worried about the noise. OTHER than all that, it works fine. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 17, 2007

    Very Happy with this Treadmill

I bought this treadmill because I don't have room for a massive, professional size treadmill nor did I want to spend hundreds of dollars. Because of the price I was expecting a very pared down version - just the basics - and that's what you get. It's not difficult to put together and it feels very sturdy. It folds up like a dream (very compactly) and is light enough to move around if you need to. The manual treadmill action takes a little getting used to and you just have to assume that it will take a few tries to get the belt to settle correctly without drifting, but once adjusted properly it seems to stay put. You can really only walk on this treadmill - it's not really designed for running as you have to hold on to keep it going. But this is good. The manual action requires a little more effort (not tons but a little) through the legs and hips and since you have to hold on to keep your body from moving backward (the treadmill is at a slant for the manual action) your arms... 4/5 Amazon Customer (Los Angeles, CA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Good for running. Need adjustment for long distance.

I generally don't like treadmills because they don't work your hamstrings like normal running would (people usually let the belt carry their foot backwards, which is cheating yourself), but sometimes you need one because of the weather outside and a manual treadmill in my opinion is your best bet. Because it's all moved by your muscles, your hamstrings at least get some use.I bought this treadmill because of the weight tolerance and the belt size which allows me to run and walk.Yeah, there's some belt wobble, but you get that with any manual. Just gotta fine-adjust it to your rhythm.I'm not a sprinter--I prefer to "go the distance" and ride this thing for an hour at a time! I don't like the incline--even adjusted down it forces you to run fast (which, like I said, cheats your hamstrings because they don't get a good workout). Because of the size of the base of the handlebar assembly, there tends to be wobble. The wobble gets worse if you're... 3/5 John A. Great quality

I love this trampoline! I have been using mine about 3-4 times a week for just over a month. I have never jumped before but thought it might be fun to jump. I do have a past injury to my knee (torn meniscus) so I've always been hesitant to do too much high impact activity. I have found jumping to be easy and I haven't had one problem with my knee yet.Pros- Easy set up. I know a lot of people say you need two people. Using my body weight I was able to unfold it on my own- and I definitely don't have much muscle.- The bounce is good- It's not too stiff, and not too flexible.- It has strong bands instead of springs- I feel my posture has gotten much better since I began jumping.- I feel jumping for 30 mins beats the elliptical any day! It feels easier, more fun, and I feel like I get a better workout.Cons- The silver cover is very hard to stretch onto the trampoline. You definitely will need two people to make it stretch... 4/5 J.L. (California) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Good Value

I have been hearing about how great rebounding is for our health and I was wanting something I could do in my living room while watching tv that would be quiet yet effective. However, I am not ready to make a big investment in a piece of equipment that I may not use very often. At the same time, I do not want something that is poor quality! After researching for a few weeks, I settled on this mini trampoline. It arrived quickly. I was able to set it up by myself without any issues. It did not take a great deal of strength for me to unfold the trampoline (it comes folded in half), but it might be an issue for some people. It took me maybe 20 minutes to set it up and I was off and bouncing. I went on You Tube to look up some workouts and am still, after using this for about a month, learning new moves. I leave it out in the living room most of the time, but when I want to store it I just pick it up and carry it to a closet where I lean it against a wall. Unfolded, it does take up a bit... 5/5 sharifred - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) A decent exercise game for the Playstation

I admit, I came to this game with low expectations, having just played the not-very-strong Wii version of this game. But the very things that made the Wii version so weak are what makes the Playstation version strong: its use of motion controls and its beautiful graphics. There are some similarities to the Wii version. First, the "Six" of the title refers to six core areas you need to work out to achieve full body fitness: Balance, Cardio, Core Body, Flexibility, Lower Body, and Upper Body. Every exercise you do in the program will tell you which of the six you're working on and to what degree. And you can pull up a graphical summary which tells you how much of each you've worked out, and which you need to focus more attention on.You can choose a fitness goal, after which the system will select a number of "classes" for you to take. Unlike the Wii version, you're greeted with a very colorful, very simple and clear user interface where you can select classes. Best fitness game currently available

Have had this game for 2 months. First of all, this is the sequel to My Fitness Coach (the European version of this game is called My Fitness Coach - Club. I'm not sure why they chose a different name for the American version). The workouts are leaps and bounds better than any other fitness game out there and significantly better than the original My Fitness Coach. You will never get bored of the workouts as there are so many and offer lengths from 5 mins to 30+ mins. If you stick to a routine and do the exercises the right way you will absolutely see results. The only drawbacks are that unlike the original, the instructor doesn't explain how to do every exercise, but watching them do it the first time is all you need. The game also lets you add your own music but it doesn't accept every track and speeds up some of the tracks for reasons I don't know. The game also includes all the necessary stretching and guides you through it at the end of each workout... 2/5 G.B. - See all my reviews = Fun:, May 9, 2011

Solid fitness game, although there is some room for improvement. UPDATE - 8/2012

To begin, I was unsure of ordering this game due to the wide range of reviews concerning this product. Personally, I think it is a pretty good fitness game. I don't have the Move, and didn't really want to purchase one. I have played Ubisoft's other fitness game for the Xbox Kinect - Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, and to be honest, I think this one has more varied workouts. My experience with Your Shape was positive, but I noticed that the sensor often failed to read my movements, especially in the "Zen" program. Therefore, it really wasn't that important to me to play a fitness game that utilizes motion sensors. I find that it's a lot less frustrating and lighter on the wallet.Onto the actual game, while I can't speak for the Move features, I find that it is very helpful. The workouts range from easy to strenuous, and there are many different programs for you to choose from. The voice-over is encouraging and positive. It is much better than a fitness DVD because you can... 4/5 fxs (CA) - See all my reviews = Fun:, August 27, 2011
