Is this enough exercise? Need advice please?

I use a twist stepper mainly as it's the most easiest when everyone's home (twist stepper is like a step machine but it has a little twist to it haha) I do that for Atleast 10 minutes each session, and I aim to do it atleast twice a day. I vary between normal pace and fast pace, definitely makes me sweat and legs feel weak haha. I also always do the plank ab exercise for atleast 2 minutes a day. I walk everywhere I can wherever I can. Is this enough exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle? I don't eat much (bad I know) but does the exercise sound ok. For extra info I'm 17, 5'8 and weigh about 130 lbs. Thanks xx

You really should be doing more cardio if possible and some light weight training. Check this out I came across this and it's designed for home workouts. The planks are really good a strong core is essential and you really need to eat more. http://www.bodyrock.tv/

About this book
The Microchip PIC family of microcontrollers is the most popular series of microcontrollers in the world. However, no microcontroller is of any use without software to make it perform useful functions. This comprehensive reference focuses on designing with Microchip's mid-range PIC line using MBASIC, a powerful but easy to learn programming language. It illustrates MBASIC's abilities through a series of design examples, beginning with simple PIC-based projects and proceeding through more advanced designs. Unlike other references however, it also covers essential hardware and software design fundamentals of the PIC microcontroller series, including programming in assembly language when needed to supplement the capabilities of MBASIC. Details of hardware/software interfacing to the PIC are also provided.BENEFIT TO THE READER: This book provides one of the most thorough introductions available to the world's most popular microcontroller, with numerous hardware and software working design examples which engineers, students and hobbyists can directly apply to their design work and studies. Using MBASIC, it is possible to develop working programs for the PIC in a much shorter time frame than when using assembly language.* Offers a complete introduction to programming the most popular microcontroller in the world, using the MBASIC compiler from a company that is committed to supporting the book both through purchases and promotion* Provides numerous real-world design examples, all carefully tested* CD contains the source code files and executables, and will include a demo version of the MBASIC compiler, allowing engineers to work out the design exercises in the book

Great Portable Workout, but limit to 10-15 mins???

I just received the twist stepper today, and I thought Id write a quick review on my first impression.Pros:-Looks Fairly well made and Sturdy-The arm straps are adjustable, and they give excellent resistance-The stepping resistance is adjustable and gives a really good workout-The computer turns on and off automaticallyCons:-The step feels like baby steps. Not horrible, but worth noting-The instructions say to limit workouts to 10-15 mins??? WTH?Im assuming thats to prevent a heat build up from friction, but 15 mins?It seems like a good buy and will do exactly what I want it to do. I want to workout every day with enough resistance to maintain my body weight. Its portable enough that I can use it in any room, so chances are I will end up using it very regularly. Thanks for reading!**UPDATE**I emailed sunny health and fitness about the 15 minute time limit on work outs. They told me that the... 4/5 A. A. Eheander - See all my reviews, September 21, 2012

    This thing works!

0 5/5 A. Portsmouth (North Dakota, USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sunny Health & Fitness Twister Stepper (Health and Beauty) Very short version to a really long, awful story: I was dumped and I tried to eat my way out of it.In the end, all I ended up with was still dumped and now sitting on a size 18 rear end. Not good.So I ordered this little stepper.Listen to me here...this is the important part. IT WORKS!I actually have two now. One at home and one at work. I make it a necessity to use it for a minimum of 10 minutes every hour -- no matter what. You don't have to get on it and use it for 45 minutes straight -- although, that's an awesome workout, too. Just get on it and use it consistently.I started this 30 days ago. And now I'm sitting on a size 12 rear end with size 8 straight ahead, directly in my sights! Every step counts. Every step is YOU moving toward your goal -- whatever that may be.Buy it. Oh, and you should buy a can of WD-40, too. If you use it as much as you should, the shocks will need some lubricating. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , April 20, 2013

Wonderful product, easy to stay motivated!

I bought this mini-elliptical after reading all the reviews on this and other similar products. I bought this item for three main reasons:1 - Low price2 - Small size3 - PortabilityI like the elliptical movement because I have bad ankles, and treadmills and steppers hurt me after a short time working out. I don't have room for a full-size elliptical machine in my house, and this turned out to be the perfect size. Plus, it's small size made it easy to move around the house to be where I wanted to use it. I like to work out while watching TV to keep my mind elsewhere and work out longer, and I can pull this machine (about 25lbs) in front of the TV in the living room to watch TV with family (yes, they laugh at me, but it's worth it), and then pull in front of my bed in the bedroom to watch a chick flick that no one else wants to watch. I even put my elliptical in front of my computer to watch Netflix movies online! It's easy to carry around.Another great... 5/5 N. 15-Day Review

Normally, I take reviews with a grain of salt. I work in advertising, so I'm well aware that companies often hire freelancers to write positive reviews for their products in order to improve sales. That said, I figured I would write an honest review after using this elliptical trainer for about half-a-month.I received the trainer on about the 20th of September and have been using it at least every other day since. It was extremely easy to piece together (I have put together a Bowflex Treadclimber in the past, as well as a StairMaster so this was practically nothing at five parts) and even easier to use. However, the stride IS significantly shorter than that of a standard health club elliptical--after about ten minutes of using the trainer, though, I didn't even notice the short stride.I bought the trainer as an alternative to running or biking outside since the cold weather is settling in and I wanted no excuses when it came to maintaining some sort of exercise... 4/5 jneeni (Long Island, NY) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) good but not perfect

This is a fairly compact, noiseless and easy-to-assemble machine and it does its job.The counter is placed out of the way, between your ankles, so you don't have to stare at it while exercising (unless you exercise while staring at your ankles) which to me is a plus. Also, the counter only accounts for the actual time you spend exercising, so if you go get a drink of water and return, it self-pauses, which is cool. The machine does occasionally rock slightly from side-to-side during use which I'd imagine could cause injury. Also, the machine doesn't glide easily during strides as it does on a regular elliptical; it occasionally jolts. This can be jarring, especially if you're not used to the unusually short strides on this machine. I recommend using this while you have something to stabilize yourself if this happens (I use it in a doorway)Not the best machine out there, but it's certainly affordable and easy to use, a great purchase for a small... 3/5 sgme - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) Challenging, decently priced and has my heart pounding

0 4/5 Matthew (Boston, MA US) - See all my reviews This review is from: Maxi Climber Vertical Climber AS SEEN ON TV (Misc.) I bought this product direct from the vendor. I've tested out a bit of equipment in my day, and I'm not an exercise nut but I struggle to find something which provides a decent challenge. Just received this 2 days ago, but so far it does provide a particularly challenging workout. The device isn't rock solid per-se, but it does hold up well and I'm 28 M 6'3 175lbs. I am using it on a carpet and it hasn't had any stability issues. In any case, for the $$$ this is fine. I found something else with climber in the name, looks similar but it's like $1500 and looks like some guy custom builds it.This thing gets my heart pumping and honestly it's been a bit addicting. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , September 19, 2014

    My wife loves it!

I bought this for my wife - who admittedly has a weakness for the latest exercise gadgets. But to her credit, she uses them all, and the few that don't meet her standard are swiftly carried off to be donated to the thrift store. I read reviews before buying this, and they were mixed. All reviews cited the good workout, but some talked highly of the quality, while others described it as "cheaply made." After receiving it and putting it together (amazingly easy - you can do it in 15 minutes - don't go looking in the box for all the listed bolts and screws - they're already installed) I was impressed with the heft and quality of the pieces. My only observation less than 100% positive is that, while there is no danger of it tipping over, it is not 100% stable (by that I mean "motionless") on carpet. It needs a solid floor, but it will in fact work on carpet. It is fully adjustable (the height of the upper handles can be raised or lowered), although there is no... 4/5 Capricorn One (Alexandria VA USA) - See all my reviews Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Sunny Health & Fitness Twister Stepper with Handle Bar (Health and Beauty) I bought this thing to be low impact and help get me active to lose some weight. I use it for 20minutes a day M-F. I'm averaging 85 steps a minute. When I bought it I was at 320 LBs with the doctor approved goal of 250 LBs. I'm a big muscular guy.Week 1: 315Week 2: 314Week 3: 308Week 4: 304Week 5: 303Week 6: 299All in all I'm pretty happy with my results. The size of the thing is pretty small and its really light and easy to move around with 1 hand. It took less than 10 minutes to put together.Edit: The thing broke 2 weeks after I wrote this review. The metal bar on the right pedal snapped in 2. When it happened I was not injured. I just now saw the comments asking about how sturdy this is. I don't blame the equipment because I'm a big guy. While this thing was quick and a good start it didn't last long (2 months). But it got me motivated to do what I needed which was start exercising. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , June 25, 2012

0 3/5 Smirnoff - See all my reviews This review is from: Sunny Health & Fitness Twister Stepper with Handle Bar (Health and Beauty) Hubby purchased this as a surprise for my birthday! OMG, I lost 7 pounds in one week from working out on this little machine. The size was perfect, the work out great. I got so I was looking forward to my first thing in the morning 800 on this as I caught up on the morning news.Sadly, it broke yesterday. The bolt that holds the cable to the fly wheel broke. We cannot find a part that matches it. Sunny Health and Fitness did respond promptly to my email but seem to be giving me the run around with requests to send a picture of the broken bolt...well measure the bolt, do you have the recpt? Scan it and send that to us.The recpt. was thrown away when we got this as the place we got it from will NOT refund for any reason at all.Needless to say, I will get another stair stepper...just not this brand nor at places like Marukai that will not be flexible with customers. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , July 29, 2011

Inevitably, they made right by allowing me to return it with them paying shipping but was definitely a game on how they handled this. The Step was old and believe it was a game on purpose to see if they could get me to keep it with a discount. Unfortunately, even though they allowed me to return it, I was not happy with the product and ordeal going through it. 0 Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , May 27, 2014

The pluses:The Air Climber is lightweight, gives you a good workout, easy on the joints, 2 wide black platforms , and the power cords are a great addition for toning and increasing the workout. The diet plan info/DVD workout is a good bonus. The swishing sound (air traveling from bellow to the other) may annoy some folks, but after after a while, it did not bother me. The adjustable tension is also a nice feature.A HUGE minus for me:This product is NOT durable (quality issues) and that is why I gave it 2 stars. I enjoyed the product and after 30-35 minutes, I broke into a sweat. I returned the Air Climber once, and the factory gave me a new one. After extended normal use (several times per week), the bellows begin to leak air quickly, the black pedals remained unmovable, and stuck on the red platform.I think this product was designed for folks who are light weight and will use it occasionally. Like many advertised fitness products, this company is banking... Read more Help other customers find the most helpful reviews  Was this review helpful to you? , November 5, 2008

    Deceptively Good Workout!

I submitted a review for this same company's Lateral Thigh Trainer, which I loved BUT it fell apart (twice; two entirely different LTT machines) due to cheap materials used inside it. Therefore, I was intrigued--and very skeptical--about this "Air Climber", but too intriged to pass it up. I now own one.To the reviewers that point out that the Air Climber looks cheap and lightweight: that is exactly its purpose. I too was very unimpressed and disappointed when I opened it and took it out. At first glance, it honestly looks more like a toddler's toy than an adult's reliable workout machine. It is so light that it can be carried with one hand.Having been accustomed to the Lateral Thigh Trainer's fairly intense workout, I tried the Air Climber and my first impression was "This is too easy...I don't feel like I'm doing real exercise or burning any calories!" In fact, I was on the verge of returning it.Then, the next day, I could barely walk! Lightweight, convenient, portable air climber. I love mine!

I wrote a comment to the previous review, but I'll repeat it here: I think their first batch of Air Climbers was defective. I purchased one, and I started having problems with the bellows, too. But customer service replaced the unit for me (with no questions asked), and the one I have now has been working flawlessly. It would seem that if you purchase something and right away it doesn't work correctly, you should just call the company and have them replace it, and if for some reason they won't do that, you can dispute it on your credit card. Don't let yourself be a victim for no reason. (One note--I would recommend getting the extended warranty if it's available. It's worth the extra $10.)I love my Air Climber so much that I'm considering getting a second one so that I can have one upstairs and another one downstairs (even though it's extremely lightweight and easy to carry--just one more plus). At first I just used it several times a week, because I have other... 4/5 ranat-ka (Renton, WA) - See all my reviews I wrote a comment to the previous review, but I'll repeat it here: I think their first batch of Air Climbers was defective.
