  Great workout from a small machine!

  I purchased this in May of this year and wanted to wait several months before reviewing it. I'm glad I purchased it! I wanted a machine that gave me a good workout, easy on my knees, portable and did not take up a lot of space. This stepper met my expectations. I use it when watching TV and in a short amount of time I'm sweating. I've noticed that my thighs have gotten firmer and when I go up and down stairs my knees no longer hurt. It was quiet when I first started using it, but after using it on a regular basis it has started to squeak a bit, but not very loud that it distracts from TV viewing.   Hands down best little stepper made!

  After reading other reviews for this and other mini steppers sold here, I ordered this one and kept my fingers crossed. So absolutely glad I bought this thing! It is beautifully designed, sturdy, and required no assembly. The pedals position your feet legs and hips to simulate the real action of the body in climbing stairs--something which the others fail to do, and, force you to use all of the muscles of the hip torso and thighs. I am a personal trainer so have studied the physiolgy involed in these movement dynamics. Add three pound hand weights to ramp up arm muscle challenge, instead of the hand straps which I found restricted natural arm swinging form.   Fantastic!

  I'm recovering from a herniated disk and am typically VERY active (running, swimming, martial arts) and need something small for my apt. for low-impact cardio while also strengthening my hips and glutes. I was really skeptical about this thing, but all the reviews seemed to rave. I've had it for over 2 weeks and it's quite awesome. Not flimsy at all, and small enough that it's unobtrusive in a small space. I watch TV and pump on this thing. It really works glutes, inner & outer thighs. I'm very pleased. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite fit under my bed, but it's really small enough that it's not in your face.   Easy but NOT boring!

  I love this video! Nekea Brown is fun to watch, and her instructions are all clear and easy to follow. Compared to other easy or beginner-level aerobic workout DVDs, this one rates very high. In particular, Mirabai Holland's DVDs have good exercises but her presentation is rather bland. Kari Anderson's Step Workout for Beginners has good moves but gets boring after a couple of viewings. Nekea Brown keeps the workout lively and interesting. The dance moves are easy and feel good to do. And it's a great moderate-level cardio workout!   I love this dvd. 20 years ago I was in the gym taking step aerobics 4 days a week. Let me be honest, life has gotten in the way of me working out. And, I needed a workout program that was something fun; yet, had just enough impact to get my heart pumping without making me feel fat, out of shape, and eventually defeated.. This dvd has me on the path to fitness. And, the steps/workout wasn't so difficult that I had trouble keping up. I was able to watch the dvd once and, then jump right into the workout.   Pros and Cons

  Just received this riser. Over all I think it is a good product. However it has a problem that the engineers should have spotted easily. The holes for the Wii Fit board are too deep. This causes the sensors to give incorrect information on weight and BMI to the game. It also fails to read stepping and excercising properly. I solved this problem by putting two poker chips in each of the holes for the Wii board feet. This gave just enough rise and still kept the board stable on the riser. Everything works great now. If the product had been made properly I would have given it 5 stars. Since it needed me to modify the flaw, it only rates 1 star. If I hadn't thought of the poker chips it would have rated a big fat "0". I hope the people at Everlast take note. I'm sure that many of these will be returned because of a truly stupid error.   Great workout addition, but you'll need to throw in a few extra nickels

  As many have noted, the holes on this step are too deep. Sounds like a common problem for other risers, too. But it's an easy fix, so don't let that stop you from getting a better workout. Read the other posts for suggestions.With Wii Fit Plus, I'm not sure the calories burned are accurate any more since the game is obviously unaware that each step your taking is now 3" higher off the ground. That said, I'm not sure who believes those numbers anyway and it's certainly not an Everlast issue. Like others, would have given this product 5 stars had the holes been the right depth. This is a great addition to your work out.Product included accurate instructions on assembling with 4 screws (there's a cross member to connect the two sides).   Perfectionists be aware.

  This does make the Step workouts more of a challenge and gets the heart rate up a bit.   Great little piece of exercize equipment

  It was pretty easy to assemble and sturdier than i thought it would be. I had bought one without a handle at sports authority years ago but this one was much better. the steps are plenty big enough for your feet and the whole thing is fairly sturdy. it is also light weight which makes it easy to pull out in front of the tv to step. the only thing i wasn't sure about was that there is a pulley underneath and the steps go a bit sideways as well as up and down. This is good because you can adjust the resistance more than other kinds but it felt akward on my knee joints at first. now that i am getting used to that aspect i think it is a nice piece of equipment for the price. no trouble with delivery or anything. 4/5 D.   Great machine...while it lasts

  Hubby purchased this as a surprise for my birthday! OMG, I lost 7 pounds in one week from working out on this little machine. The size was perfect, the work out great. I got so I was looking forward to my first thing in the morning 800 on this as I caught up on the morning news.Sadly, it broke yesterday. The bolt that holds the cable to the fly wheel broke. We cannot find a part that matches it. Sunny Health and Fitness did respond promptly to my email but seem to be giving me the run around with requests to send a picture of the broken bolt...well measure the bolt, do you have the recpt? Scan it and send that to us.The recpt. was thrown away when we got this as the place we got it from will NOT refund for any reason at all.Needless to say, I will get another stair stepper...just not this brand nor at places like Marukai that will not be flexible with customers. 3/5 H.   Very First Step Workout I Ever Used

  I looooove this workout. I borrowed it from a friend when I first started working out. I loved it. I bought my own copy and I am now having to buy it in DVD. The moves are easy enough to keep up with and the set is very cool. Gin Miller keeps a great count. I never wonder where I am at because her count is always right on. There are isolations at the end, just enough for a well rounded workout. Intensity can be upped by upping your step. For me, if the foot work is too complicated I never feel confidant enough to raise the step( I'm kind of a clutz).   Simple Choreography, Keeps You In Fat Zone, A Keeper

  I received this video with the purchase of my Reebok Step. Just a note about the gray and black Reebok Step, it's much better than the original green flexible step. When I first previewed the tape I wasn't impressed. The set looks kind of dark, with techno music and all these fantastic looking aerobics instructors for class participants. I thought... here we go. I am glad I gave this tape a chance because it is now considered one of my core favorites out of a collection of about 100 exercise tapes and DVDs.Right off the bat this tape scores points by putting all the hints and instructions on proper techniques at the end of the tape so that you don't have to fast forward through it every time you use it. The other thing it did, which is a very nice feature, at the end of the step segment there is a short toning section with pushups and ab work.   My favorite workout EVER! LOVE IT!

  Excellent music -- not your typical aerobic elevator music! Enjoyable to watch industrial setting. Easy to follow steps that still give you a terrific workout! Gin gives lots of warnings before new steps and step changes, as well as lots of instruction. She'll stay with a move long enough to get used to it, then adding small changes at a time. The flow of the workout is very natural and logical. The energizing warm up and stretch before and relaxing cool down and stretch after prevent any injuries without having to do anything but the video. Plus, you can keep doing the same workout even as your physical condition changes: add risers (or however your particular step's height adjusts) as you get in shape, or remove them if it's been a while or if you're tired or have a minor injury. I even added simple wrist weights when I got in really good shape and couldn't add any more risers (there's only so high a 5' 1" woman can step!).   A toy that will last for years.

  I got two sets of these steppers for my son's birthday. He just turned 4. He loves them. They are very well built, thick durable plastic. They do not have treads, though, so you can't use them on tile floors or smooth wood floors. I make sure my son used these only on carpet, concrete, or grass. The cousin comes over and fights over the different colors, so I have made a rule that each child gets one purple stepper, and one red one. This clears things up pretty easily. I have had to make a knot in the rope to shorten them for now, but can easily get the knot out for when the kids are taller. The ropes are nice and smooth, good quality, won't wear out anytime soon. I try to only buy toys that will last many years, be interesting for many years, and that do not use batteries. These fit that model, and the kids love them. They were hard to find, though. Don't think amazon sold them a while back. It seems no one sells the simple toys so much anymore, which is a real shame!   This was the least expensive thing I gave my 5 yo granddaughter Christmas....and she is still taking it everywhere with her all day long and is either treating it like a pet she drags around by the handles or she is walking on them...constantly.   Great toy for coordination development

  My daughter is just about to turn 3. She discovered this toy at our rec center, and I was impressed by how eager she was to learn to use them. She saw the older kids and within 15 minutes was able to take a couple steps with them. This is really helping her to coordinate her arm and leg movements. I ordered two sets so she and a friend could use them together. They are always a big hit at our playdates and can be used inside or outside. We have found some brands to have a smaller diameter or be thinner plastic which make them harder to balance on and less durable. EZ Stepper however has a nice wide bottom and is made of very thick plastic.   Great! Gilad is still awsome!

  I used to do Gilad videos in the early 90s when I was in high school and I always liked him. I thought his videos were challenging. I decided to purchase this dvd to see what the deal was with Gilad today, but this DVD is from like 1993. So it's pretty dated as far as their clothes go, but I still love it! If you like Gilad, you'll like this. You either love him or hate him. I love him! I think he's GREAT! Its a very challenging, fun video and it gives you the option to intensify the movements to make it even more challenging. The setting is at a beach resort in Hawaii and although some people might find this a little hokey, I was totally into it. I could almost imagine myself at this beach (yes wishfull thinking..) And even the best excercise dvds are pretty corny, this one is really good. I only gave it 4 stars because I would have like a little more difficult combinations, but they were still pretty challenging none the less. If you need to lose weight, this is the way!   Great video, clearly outlined steps, lots of fun

  Although I think Gilad is a little goofy, this is the best exercise DVD I have used/own. The reason why is because:- he warns you of a change in step before it happens and he's consistent about this- his counting is never off - or at least I haven't discovered any counting errors- the videographers don't try to get artsy with the cuts, so there is never a cut at the outset of a new step or a transition between steps (I haven't found any other exercise DVD that can boast this and this is important if you want to learn the steps and keep up)- although the steps themselves are realitively simple, the way Gilad combines them is quite challenging cardio-wise- the overall combinations are funThe only thing you need to know about him is that he will say that you're getting ready to do the "last one;" and instead of meaning the very last step, he means the last combination of steps (one to each side, left and right).   Good Workout

  I like routine and consistency (and not just in my step aerobics!) and Step Aerobics by Gilad offers that.I have made a hobby out of building a collection of step aerobics workouts and resisted Gilad's DVD for awhile. Once I did buy it, the DVD quickly became one of my favorites.Gilad's warm-up routine is among the best in workout videos and my personal favorite. It's low impact, but gets you moving right away. The step routines are very athletic and very repetitive. Personally, I like repetition because it allows me to focus on getting the most out of each movement (squeezing my muscles, keeping the abs in, standing tall). There's enough variety, though, to keep you interested and enough movement to keep you energized. But my favorite part about the step routines is that every time I do this workout, I feel challenged because of the athleticism required.In addition to the very relaxing cool down, there's a separate ab workout that's a nice... 4/5 T.   Stepping forward for sure

  This product worked like magic right out of the box. 3 wires to my arduino, including ground, 2 to the power supply and 4 to the motor. Took 5 minutes and works great. Used it with the Canakit stepper motor. From the top left of the stepper board the colors to (at least my version of the Canakit stepper) were Red Green (A) and yellow blue (B) in that order from left to right. Hope this helps the next one to get this great product in use.   In my dim kitchen I mistook the 5v/Ground pins for the M+/Ground pins and fried my unit. Sad times, but it's my fault.   No user manual included with the device

  The board did not include any kind of documentation. This required a significant and time consuming web search effort to find a copy of a user manual. Ultimately found one in German.I set up the device with the help of the German user manual and it worked well as expected.At the very least a link should be provided fo access to user documentation.   Board is well put together, the common complaint is no documentation.

It will probably take you back to the Suntekstore site, they have the manual available for down load. Although there a few parts in broken English it will guide you through set up for both the board and Mach 3.
